Guest guest
I also have another question about a particular pain relieving drug and the thyroid. I wasn't able to control my migraine pain last week, and drugs that have helped for 20 years, no longer help me. Because of the nature of the pain, a GP at my local clinic (not the one I usually see, but I trust this GP anyway) has prescribed Endone for me. Has anyone out there used Endone (Oxycodone hydrochloride) before or know about its effects on the thyroid? http://www.mydr.com.au/cmis/PDFs/CMI6867.pdf My doc knows that it needs to be used with caution by folk who have an underactive thyroid, however she said that as long as I stick to a 5mg - 10mg dose and only use it infrequently, it should be ok. Has anyone had any experience using Endone? If so, did it affect your thyroid function in any way that you noticed? Oxycodone hydrochloride is a heavy duty narcotic for pain relief. I think the GP felt comfortable giving it to me because they know I don't like using any drugs at the best of times + the migraine pain relief that I was using no longer works. I will take drugs for migraines as they are literally unbearable. Hope someone can help with advice. P
