Guest guest
My husband has to take a CAT scan with radioactive iodine tomorrow. (At least, I think that's what the doc said. I was in a bit of a panic.) I was planning to give him a good, stiff dose of iodine before the test, to reduce the risk of his thyroid absorbing the radioactive crap. (The potassium iodide does protect from radioactivity, right?) I have had him on iodine for a while, so I don't expect detox problems, & hopefully the months on a moderate dose of iodine will already afford some protection. But then it occurred to me to wonder, would that screw up the test? Anybody know anything about this? Anne
