Iodine and other cancers (like pancreas)

Has iodine been used successfully with any other cancers? My brother's mother in

law has been given not long to live due to pancreatic cancer. Maybe it could at

least give her better quality of life? I don't know if she would consider it.

She has rebuffed all suggestions of any alternative help so far, but I know she

wants to live and the Western meds have done little. But wanted to ask.
