Guest guest
I'm fairly new here and would like to know what the thoughts are about taking T3 alone. I'm taking 25mcg of Cytomel now. For years and I mean years I tried to take Armour, Naturethroid, other forms of dessicated. I could only take very small amounts and even these small amounts created anxiety and other symptoms. Then I finally diagnosed myself with severe adrenal exhaustion. Went off thyroid medication all together and still had bad anxiety and whole host of other sytmptoms. I tried eveything for adrenals - natural. Even Isocort didn't touch them. So I went on HC for 2.5 years. So glad I'm not on this steriod anymore but I believe it saved my life. As little as 6 months ago I tried Naturethroid again only a small amount to start and the anxiety started up again. Then I learned about Reverse T3 and thought this explained why I couldn't tolerate T3/T4 thyroid. I then started on just the T3 medication and was able to go up high enough to I think clear RT3. I was up to 87mcg. A few months ago my temps shot up/ pulse shot up and I decreased T3 to current doseage and seemed to be doing fine. I am definitely hypo - depressed, low energy, hair loss, sleeping problems ect. Blood work comfirmed yesterday Free T3 is 3.0. I started Ioderal 1/2 tab 2 days ago with companion supplements and slightly increased my T3. How does straight T3 work with getting Iodine on board? Are there others that can't take Armour but take T3 only? Blessings Sage
