Guest guest
Hi , I went to Northwest Weight Loss Surgery Center in Everett, Wa. They were wonderful before, during and after surgery and followop care is second to none. My doc was Dr. Montgomery, but all 3 docs there are terrific. Jessie Ahroni is a fill nurse there and she wrote a great book on the Lap Band. Many of the staff including Jessie have been banded. My surgery was $17000 and it included free fills for one year after surgery plus guarantees on their work. Guest guest
I live in Anchorage, AK and there's one Dr. who performed 40 procedures. I hear great things about him, but I'm a little nervous to have this man do my surgery. , Why are you nervous? Is the man a confident Dr? Is the follow up care provided? Can you talk to others that have had him do the surgery? , who feels it would be good to have a Dr thats close to home if you can.
Guest guest
Hi, : I, too, had my surgery at NW Weight Loss Surgery. They are really fantastic. Everything about the surgery was handled expertly and thoughtfully. It's very different from the anonymous treatment you get in a hospital. They actually treat you like an individual. And the followup, as Kathy says, is superb. I have been a very slow loser, and have been in for about 11 fills since my surgery. They never hesitate to make an additional fill appointment as soon as you ask for one. I would be cautious about looking for the cheapest surgery. I'd go for the one that is best, not cheapest. Leila Hello Everyone, Will someone recommend the best place to have this surgery done in the Pacific Northwest?
Guest guest
I had my surgery done by Dr. Kuri in Tijuana, if you look up lap band surgery in search his name will be the first you see. He has done hundreds of surgeries and has also taught many of the US docs the procedure. My follow up care is done by Dr. Chebli at Northwest Hospital. I love his approach and having him there for emergencys. cost was a big factor for me as it all came out of my pocket. So just over 9000 including my airfare ( I got my tickets separately) The Kuri Team is amazing. So don't sell it short. For info and there website WWW.Beliteweight.com .There have been 20 people alone where I work that have gone down there for the surgery. Check with you Alaska Doc and see if he will do fills for Mexico patience. That is usually the problem. Dr. Kuri uses all the same bands (Imed) that US docs use. Email be direct if you want anymore info. Good luck with your journey it is truly worth it wich ever doctor you choose. Is he at Northwest Hospital in Seattle? I live in Everett and went to Olympia for my first fill but would prefer something closer. Guest guest
First let me say that Dr. Chebli is not and will not be a " Fill Station " If you want him to do fills he wants you to be his patient no matter where you were banded, and have regular followup visits. That said he charges 250 for the first visit and fill, 200 after that for office visit and fill, if no fill is need he charges 40 for just the office call. He does not use floro as he does not feel that the body needs to be Xrayed that offten. It is available at the Hospital if he feels it is necessary. He is very conservative in his fills but it has worked out well for me. I like having a good doctor just a short distance away if there was evera problem. I believe his price for doing the Banding is also reasonable you may want to check with him.

Guest guest
> > First let me say that Dr. Chebli is not and will not be a " Fill Station " I think you misread my post. I am having Dr Cheblis do my surgery but I live in Fairbanks Alaska and the price of a plane ticket can range from $550 to $800 so I am looking for someone in Fairbanks to do the majority of my fills to alleviate some of that expense.
