Guest guest
June, Such sad news about your sister. Unfortunately, I don't have any additional information than what had. Just wanted to let you know that we are here to listen & support & keep you and your sisters in our prayers. Let us know how things are going when you get a chance. Gentle, tender, healing, angel hugs, Debs
Guest guest
June, I am so sorry to hear that your baby sister has myeloma. Yes, bone marrow can be frozen for future use. Whether it's the person's own marrow or a donor's, it is usually frozen immediately after it is harvested. It can be frozen for days, months, or years. Now, how expensive it is for the cryostorage, I'm not sure. Hey, I am registered with the US National Marrow Donor Program, so if you or your other sisters don't match your little sister, I'd be happy to try. Here are some links which might help you: http://www.nccf.org/nccf/AboutCCG/Stories/Reynolds.htm http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/lrf-/diseases/bmt_book.htm Again, June, I'm very sad to learn of this news.
