EWG Supports California BPA assessments

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) strongly supports OEHHA's

decision to assess the reproductive and developmental toxicity of the

plastics chemical Bisphenol A (BPA). There is a growing body of

science that supports the listing of BPA under California's

Proposition 65 as a chemical that may pose risks to human reproduction

and development. This science has been recognized in the past week by

an important new assessment and determination by the National

Toxicology Program (NTP) of the National Institutes of Health. NTP's
