Guest guest
....I can identify with your letter. I have degerative joint and disk disease, bulging disks, 2 crumbled vertabrae, spinal stenosis, RA, and hep c. When I saw the rheumatologist last week, he said I also have fibromyalgia and my right knee is ruined to the degree I need a knee replacement. He said no surgeon would do it now because of the amount of inflammation in my liver....whenever I tried telling him of the amount of pain this caused, he ignored me and right before I left he suggested I do some low impact aerobics. I would first and foremost love to be able to walk. Before I became disabled 3 years ago with the spinal problems, I walked 3 miles a day plus the walking I did as a RN. I was very active, now I am 90 % wheel chair bound. I have fallen 12-15 times over the past 3 years, broken ribs and slit my head open, all trying to walk.....and this doctor tells me to do aerobics....and didn't hear anything I said............I'm frustrated also.....I also have the swollen, painful joints that burn and hurt so much. I was raised to ignor your pain and go on with life and I did this for years and still have a hard time talking about it. I feel like I have a high pain threshold and I am learning to compensate...then this doctor comes along and confuses me..........thanks for allowing me to vent.......judy
