I'm a pathetic housekeeper. Get right back on track and you'll get those 3 pounds back off soon. Ann
Guest guest
>and reading about how well everyone seems to be doing with exercise! I just can't seem to get myself motivated. Not everyone is doing " well " I'm sure - I know it takes a heck of a lot to get *me* motivated. I can go weeks without doing anything formal, just a few walks down the park or the aisles of the grocery store, and then get a good long look at myself in the mirror, or start gasping halfway up the stairs to my third floor apartment, and then decide to get back into it. >I am eating the wrong foods agian and can not get back on track. So what's keeping you from starting your healthy food plan with your very next meal? If you wrote out your menus a few days ahead of time and shopped for them, like I always suggest, you should have all the ingredients already at hand. If you kept a food journal like always suggests you should know what your triggers are and can avoid them or know when you're the hungriest and always reaching for a snack and so when you went grocery shopping you bought some fruit or other healthy, low cal snacks to eat instead of grabbing a candy bar. >I still have not had my blood work done. Maybe tomorrow morning before breakfast I will meander over there. It has to be fasting. I hope you got a chance to go. It does no good to put it off - even if you fasted from now until next week the results of things like triglycerides and cholesterol won't be too affected. Besides, if your lab is like mine it might take a week for them to forward the results to the doctor's office. > My inllaws are coming to visit this weekend. Good luck! >We always go out to dinner when they are here. I need to get my will power back. Will it be a restaurant you've gone to before, so you have an idea of what they offer? If so, start thinking before you go what foods you'll like to have and fit into your food plan, and stick with what you chose! If you know they offer very large servings, why not immediately put half your meal aside and put it in a to-go box. Save your calorie splurge for the weekend for this dessert, and enjoy it without guilt. > I did spend the last two days really cleaning my house. You probably got a lot of exercise right there! > I got on the scale on Wednesday and I am up 3 pounds Weight will fluctuate, even if you ate perfectly on plan and exercised every day - that's how our bodies work. The trick is to not get disappointed and depressed over the weeks the scale goes up and give up but to stay the course! Continue on your food plan, do your exercise and drink your water and your next weigh-in the scale should show a loss again. Or maybe the week after. Every body is different and every body loses weight in its own way. Just don't give up! Sue in NJ
