RE: Anyone heard of Adrenal Cortex (by Allergy Research, not Thorne)??

Hi Jonny,

I just wanted to say that I have taken these pills, but did not really

notice much difference to me for taking them. But another reason I

have heard of to take adrenal cortex is that it helps the adrenals to

heal perhaps (but then some also say that about hc). Have you

considered tking isocort as this is the adrenal cortex also, but I feel

that you know better what quantity you are taking with isocort better.

I take isocort sometimes, but I even find that too stimulatory & prefer

hc as I feel better on this & can sleep better. Generally I take hc

7.5mg first thing, 5mg at noon (or 2 isocort) 5mg late afternoon

(occasionally isocort for this dose too if I am sleeping well at the

time) & always 2.5mg hc at bedtime.

I have always felt that the liquid adrenal cortex is much better but

more expensive, & I have never felt that I could afford to buy it, but

if I was desperate wanting to wean myself off of hc this is the way I

would go. The one I wanted to go for is from apothecure.com who my

altdoc used to compound the natural hc I started on before I found out

the cost of it & changed to normal hc. I have just looked at their

website & cannot find the product but they definitely do one & ship it

to the UK although they charge the same delivery for 1 bottle as for 8

to 10 whichever it worked out for the weight limit. I had emails from

them on my last computer but cannot find a copy at the moment.

Hi Jonny,

I had the same problem on a similar adrenal extract- can't remember

which one- that allegedly did not contain adrenalin, but I reacted as if it

did. I had no problems with low dose prednisolone- you might like to

consider isocort also.

Subject: Anyone heard of Adrenal Cortex (by Allergy

Research, not Thorne)??

Hi guys, Im just wondering If anyone has heard of these pills?

The contain Adrenal Cortex just like the Thorne Adrenal Cortex but

they have 250mg per capsule instead of just 50mg, and 100 pills

instead of 60 for only a slightly highercost. They seem much much

better value than the Thorne ones. Anyone know if they are not as good

quality or anything?

I am feeling a bit jittery on the Nutri Adrenal Extra and cant sleep

that well, I think beacuse it contains the adrenaline in, so Im

thinking if I go for adrenal cortex then i won't feel so jittery? Its

not becuase Im taking too much tho, as I really need them. the

difference is quite dramatic if I don't take them

Jonny
