1st Iodine Loading test results - Comments please

Hi,

I've been on 50 mg Iodoral a little over 3 months. I did not do any

loading test prior to starting. (I had the test on order, but the

Iodoral showed up first. I tried some and it felt so good that I was

pretty certain I needed it.)

I did the DDI 24 hour Urine Iodide test. Here are the results:

Iodide 34 rr (.01-.45)

% Excretion/24 hr 68%

Creatinine 1300 rr (600-1900 mg/24 hr)

Volume 2150 ml

I now know that getting the test done through Flechas would have been

a good idea (so I could get the free consult), but I didn't know it at

the time. So, I will have to rely on you helpful folks to tell me

what to do next.

Any comments? I assume continuing with Iodoral is the way to go. I

have been feeling some excess mucous lately that I thought might be

due to too much iodine. Would continuing with 3 Iodoral a day make sense?
