Guest guest
It is no coincidence that you are having these symptoms after a weekand a half of daily sweating. You have sweated out all your water soluble minerals and may be dehydrated on top of that. I don't think you're hyperthyroid at all. Trace minerals, potassium and magnesium are probably bottomed out. If you are going to sweat and not replenish it may take a while but it does catch up with you. Bananas and s low sodium tomato juice will help with the potassium loss. A trace mineral supplement like `Fountain of Minerals' should help and some Magnesium Glycinate capsule before bedtime to help you sleep are my suggestions . If you are supplementing while detoxing, I would triple the dose since you must be sweating a lot. I went through a 52 day sauna detox with 5 hours of sweating a day... you should have seen the fistfuls of minerals and vitamins I was taking. A few times I had the symptoms you are describing and just upped my dose of minerals and had plenty of filtered water. --- gdawson6 <gdawson6@...> wrote: > Hi I am a 20 year old male who is recovering from mercury toxicity, > and I know I have too much flouride in me as well (mottling of teeth). > I have avoided all flouridated water for at least 8 months and got my > 10 mercury amalgams removed in febuary. > > I have been supplementing with kelp (high quality organic iceland > kelp) about 1/2 teaspoon - 1 teaspoon a day (though I would take a > break every few days, sometimes for a week) for a few months and have > gotten good results. > > I recently got a portable infrared sauna and have been using it for 30 > minutes a day for about 2 weeks and now (for the past 4 of 5 days) > nearly every night I go hyperthyroid between midnight and 4am and have > trouble sleeping. Guest guest
I do appreciate your advice , but that doesn't make sense to me. I have been exercising and for the first time in a LONG time, I was able to do strenuous exercise without getting extremely sore for days afterwards. This was the same routine I had done a week before getting the sauna and I was incredibly sore for many days afterwards. That was one of my biggest symptoms was very poor exercise recovery. I have not had any cramps since starting to use the sauna and I did used to get calf cramps some mornings occasionally. My bowel movements all also very regular. I am still 150 pounds (5'11 " ) which is what I have been for a long time. The strangest part is that I feel a lot better than before getting the sauna, especially physically. Mentally I get a little anxious sometimes when my heart beat speeds up for reasons not obvious to me. I do not take any mineral supplements, but I do eat a very nutrient dense tradtional diet (Weston A. Price influenced) including lots of raw animal products such as dairy and meat. I do make sure to get plenty of potassium and I drink a lacto-fermented drink made from organic mollasses for potassium and minerals, and eat a lot of veggies on top of that. I do get plenty of minerals in my diet and I think it shows in my immunity...I haven't gotten sick in like 18 months and I haven't taken any supplements besides some herbal extracts. Regardless, I am going to take a break from the sauna. - -- In iodine , <kennio@...> wrote: > > It is no coincidence that you are having these symptoms after a weekand a half > of daily sweating. Guest guest
Both green and black teas are a significant source of natural fluoride . I stopped drinking them on a daily basis when I found that out so it is just as well you quit it since you are trying to avoid fluoride. I am wanting to have my amalgams replaced and do a chelating protocol. Did you do any other chelating beside the infrared sauna? Are you on thyroid meds? Have you been diagnosed with thyroid disease? Very interesting about going hyper at such a specific time. I am interested to hear what other folks have to say about this. We are planning on putting in an infra red sauna also. Guest guest
I don't see how you could have gotten "too much iodine" from kelp. I have read that if you take 1 tab of Iodoral (12.5mg), it will take one year to reach iodine sufficiency. Do you think you are getting this much from kelp? You could do the iodine loading test available I think from http://www.vrp.com Another cause of hyper symptoms is low adrenals. gracia Hi I am a 20 year old male who is recovering from mercury toxicity, and I know I have too much flouride in me as well (mottling of teeth).I have avoided all flouridated water for at least 8 months and got my10 mercury amalgams removed in febuary.I have been supplementing with kelp (high quality organic icelandkelp) about 1/2 teaspoon - 1 teaspoon a day (though I would take abreak every few days, sometimes for a week) for a few months and havegotten good results. I am not on any thyroid meds, though I have had anxiety problems nearly my entire life that are very similar to what I am experiencing now. I never have been diagnosed with any thyroid disorders though. Its not the first time I have had trouble sleeping, but its just been very consistent the past week and its demanding that I figure out what is going on. -

I rarely ever get fatigued and can do lots of exercise and I go for very long walks quite often. I was only getting ~800-1600% RDA of iodine each time I took it. I know that some people say that you need a lot more iodine to get enough but everyone is different, you know? I have never had hypothyroid problems either. Its confusing though as I know I am detoxing from flouride along with mercury and flouride should cause decreased thyroid function and mine has been going crazy lately! - -
Guest guest
A couple things come to mind. It depends on the type of strenuous exercise you are doing. If you are lifting weight your weight should be increasing. I hope you aren't adjusting your diet to maintain 150lbs. If you had extreme soreness at your age I would suspect a couple thing first... Overtraining and lack of protein after training. Forget for a second how you feel since buying the sauna. If you sweat heavily on a daily basis and don't replenish the lost minerals you will have problems - such as heart beat irregularities. BTW, here is an article that appeared in the British Journal of Sports Medicine a few weeks ago. It talks about using probiotics (acidophilus) to treat fatigue and recovery in athletes. My exercise induced fatigue is 80% better as is my recovery since trying a high quality probiotic (10 mil +). Read this carefully it is a groundbreaking study. Some of the athletes showed signs of Epstein Barr virus and this reversed in less than a month. http://bjsm.bmjjournals.com/cgi/content/abstract/40/4/351 --- gdawson6 <gdawson6@...> wrote: > I do appreciate your advice , but that doesn't make sense to me. > > I have been exercising and for the first time in a LONG time, I was > able to do strenuous exercise without getting extremely sore for days > afterwards. Guest guest
, take this test and see how you do. http://www.thewayup.com/newsletters/081501.htm --- gdawson6 <gdawson6@...> wrote: > > > > > Both green and black teas are a significant source of natural > > fluoride . Guest guest
I am not adjusting my diet to maintain my wieght, I can eat a ton and I just don't store any fat, its like that with my whole family. I eat a lot of calories and get a lot of very high quality protein each day. Before no matter how much protein I got I would feel like crap for like 4 days afterwards because I think it mobilized mercury and/or flouride. I did not overtrain as I never pushed myself too hard knowing that I have a bad reaction to heavy exercise. I don't lift weights either, I do traditional kung fu and lots of walking as my main forms of exercise. Like I said before though I did not have this reaction to heavy exercise recently, so something has obviously changed. Probiotics are fantastic, but I get them from Kefir (like yogurt but much more probiotic) made from raw grassfed jersey milk. Its also an excellent source of minerals as well. Thanks for your concern, I really do appreciate it . - > > A couple things come to mind. It depends on the type of strenuous exercise you > are doing. Guest guest
My score was only 18, so like I thought before I doubt its magnesium, even though some of the symptoms fo coincide with magnesium deficiency. I was pretty sure it had something to do with my thyroid gland because I would feel this tension on my thyroid gland whenever my heart would beat fast. BTW, my hyperthyroidism was barely noticeable last night and I was able to fall asleep easily and slept about 8-9 hours. I don't know if I was just moving too much mercury with the sauna or what or if it was just a flare up of old anxiety problems on their way out (which is what I hope!), which I am pretty sure was related to toxins. - > > > > > > Both green and black teas are a significant source of natural > > > fluoride .
