Guest guest
Well everyone, It's official. Today I had my evaluation and I failed all of the hearing tests with flying colors. I haven't failed something this badly since I was 16 and took my first driving test and half way through the test, the instructor asked me to pull over to the curb. He then informed me that we were WALKING back to the DMV. Three long blocks. That's how badly I failed today. In fact my audiologist said I qualified for bilateral implants. I wasn't expecting that. For now I am going to implant my left ear only. I meet with the surgeon on Friday. So now the fun begins, I guess. It was a very emotional morning, to say the least. But I feel like a weight has been lifted. I value all of the information that everyone provides in this group and I am so grateful to be a part of this. I'm sure I'll have questions soon, but for now I am a little overwhelmed. Teri
