Guest guest
Hi Shari Glad it all went ok, I must say I wasnt expecting to feel as giddy and washed out as I am two days later, the whole wound area feels really tight and uncomfortable at the moment and i have a horrible metalic taste sensation on the implant side of my tongue, and feel quiet unbalanced and a bit dizzy when i first stand up, will just have to have plenty of rest and take it a day at a time, and like you am finding it hard to sleep for any length of time. Lucky you to get the headband off. I have to wait 48 hours. Will be glad to get it off tomorrow afternoon. I know from my first CI surgery, that was the biggest " pain relief " .  My throat is sore from the tube they put down my throat and I have no nausea this time around except for when I was first awake after the surgery. I am not dizzy, but I feel weak and can't sleep for more than a few hours at a time. I'll be glad when I can eat a decent meal, though. Right now it's popsicles, ice cream, and hopefully I will be getting pudding soon. My jaw is sore on the surgery side and I can't open my mouth too wide.  I've made a blog entry on my surgery. ( http://literallyblindsided.blogspot.com/2010/09/other-side-second-implant.html \ )  Okay, going back to rest. Take care.  Shari in WI
