Guest guest
Yesterday was Yom Kippor; a very holy day. Our whole family fasted and spent the day in Synagogue with our children and grandchildren. After the morning services and before the afternoon services, we went to our children's home to rest. By 2PM I was wiped out so I sat on the couch, put up my feet and grabbed a blanket and got comfortable. As I did this, my oldest granddaughter decided to practice her trumpet so I removed both of my CI processors and I immediately fell asleep. At 3:45 my husband woke me to go back to Temple for afternoon services. Although everyone was tired from not eating all day, I was the only one who was able to sleep since I am completely deaf without my processors and everyone else had to listen to the sound of the novice trumpet player. Sometimes there really are some advantages to being deaf. Happy Hearing!
