Guest guest
I had 2 neg test the other week now I am tesing positive again. 380 ETG I am already in my 2nd rehab due to this, they don't know what to do with me. I don't know if I can stop tesing positive. I know if I stop diversion I would have to test with probation too, and can't figure this out. My husband is ready to divorce me do to all this stress. Has any body been kicked out of there program due to this? I don't have any money for lawyers. I want to be a nurse. Help
Guest guest
sorry julie, this is not you,it is your made up "cutoff" level is too low...this test has exponential variability per below, even readings up to 500ng/ml are ok thats why labs are now offering higher cutoffs...if you are off all liver metabolizing drugs and watching nbe ingestion and exposure you are doing everything you can...you are not alone...arm yourself with the facts and do not give up or in...you are in the right...per below they have no repeat no scientific foundation of any kind for their action...seek legal aid if finances preclude legal representation...hang in there..we are here for you if we can help...regards,r Laboratories are currently offering cutoffs of 100, 250, 500 and 1000 ng/mL. These cutoffs have no scientific foundation in terms of identifying beverage alcohol consumption. Early European studies used the cutoff of 100ng/ml because that was the lowest level at which their instrumentation was technically reliable. There are no published studies on the effects of non-beverage alcohol (termed "incidental alcohol") on EtG levels. There are no large-scale studies that establish that EtG levels in non-drinkers will consistently fall below 100, 250, or even 500ng/ml. That said, it is recommended that each agency select a cutoff that is appropriate based upon their flexibility (in dealing with investigations of false positive claims), sophistication in understanding the concepts, and severity of consequences from a positive test.jhartman32001 <jhartman32001@...> wrote: I had 2 neg test the other week now I am tesing positive again. 380 ETG I am already in my 2nd rehab due to this, they don't know what to do with me. Guest guest
julie if they do not comply with the advisory and remove you from the program you have excellent legal recourse...are they aware of the recent upward revision of cutoffs to 1000ng/ml?you fall well within the upper limits even at 500ng/ml...if they have the latest data and do not change their position i would retain counsel and stick to my guns..get legal aid to help if you have to...it would be insane to pay for rehab all over again for a borderline EtG...regards,r Hartman <jhartman32001@...> wrote: they told me if I try to fight it I will be noncompliant and removed from the program.
