My driver's license says " hazel " . I have one blue eye and one brown

eye, and when I was young, I was being a little sassy with the DMV

worker and asked what I should put on my driver's license for eye

color. This huge black women took a look at my eyes, didn't miss a

beat, and wrote " hazel " . When I was very young and first started

driving, my license said " brown " . It was when I moved to Oklahoma

that " hazel " was put on my license !! It's been that way every

since. I would tell your daughter to put down the eye color that she

most identifys with.... as there is certainly no room for 2 eye colors

on a driver's license !!!

Good Luck....

She will love having heterochromia !!

I have !!

My (PA) driver's license says DIC for " dichromatic " Isn't it nice of

them to have this as an option?

My first driver’s license said “blue”

because 1 ½ of my eyes are blue.  The

next time I went to the DMV I was told that my two different colored eyes were

a very distinguishing feature and my license should say “mul” for multiple.

My passport and driver’s license have said “mul” for about fifteen years now.  And some people don’t even know “mul” is an option.

I would point this out to your daughter, because her eyes are not hazel.   Hope

you are having a great day - karen

Ken,

Mine says green because my right eye is green and my left eye is 1/3

green. I think I asked DMV early on and they suggested that. Plus I

like the greenness of my eyes better.

My license also says hazel. It has said that since I got my

driving permit- The DMV person had the usual personality and asked the “weight”

“height” “hair color”… when he got to eye color

and I said “ones blue and one’s brown”—he looked up—never

changed facial expression, just said “hazel” and that is what he

wrote! I’ve just left it at that.

I

have been told by my family my whole life how beautiful and unique my eyes

are- (what a great self esteem booster) There are a lot of famous

people with different colored eyes:

Dan

Aykroyd

Kiefer

Sutherland

Walken

Kate Bosworth

Mila

Kunis

Jane Seymour (of " Dr. Quinn, Medicine

Woman " ) (thanks to Pete and " Skates Alive " )

the Great (source)

Aristotle

Anastasios

Dicorus

Miss

America 2004 (rumor?)

Marilyn

Manson (faker - uses colored contact lenses)

Yuna (character from the video game Final

Fantasy X)

Musician Bowie is often thought to have heterochromia, but

this is not the case as Bowie's eyes are both blue (his left pupil is

permanently dilated due to a childhood injury).

Have

you seen the movie " Practical Magic " ?-- The girl is looking for her

" Impossible perfect man-- with one blue eye and one green eye "

We

even have our own special day--I hope everyone celebrated July 12th!! " Different

Colored Eyes Day "

http://www.holidayinsights.com:80/moreholidays/July/coloredeyesday.htm

Your

daughter may be too old but there is a children’s book: " The Incredible Peepers of

Penelope Budd " --by Marie Karns--a great story about a little girl with

different colored eyes. You should be able to find it on Amazon.com or

half.com I bought a copy for my niece's son-- who is my little

look-alike—2 years old now.

Fifteen years ago the lady at my local DMV refused to believe I had

blue and brown eyes. I have sectoral heterochromia. So when I told

her my eyes were mostly blue she refused to believe me and flatly told

me that black people don't have blue eyes. Since then I've had my

license renewed and it says blue. I think next time I'll try to see

if " mul " is allowed. I can remember being a little boy with my father

in the grocery store and the cashier accusing my father of wearing

blue contacts. I am now the proud father of 5 year old twin boys who

each have bright blue and brown eyes. So far they have gotten nothing

but positive attention and I hope it continues. i teach them that our

eyes are definitely a blessing.
