Guest guest
Bob, And of course you know, where would we be without the FDA? I wonder too. (grins) Remote controlled CI's, what next? That is one feature I would like as I used one with my last set of hearing aids. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Good judgment comes from bad experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment. & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/

Guest guest
*When or will these new devices become available in America? Not a clue. But I'm gonna try to find out - as expected..* As a recent Med-El recipient, when I received my start up kit my audie informed me that enclosed was a voucher so I can receive the newer version sometime next year. At my last remapping she mentioned that there will be a remote, 2 processors instead of one, and also more features that will enable the user better phone use capability. I'm excited. Guest guest
Bob and , Remotes are nice. I have one with my hearing aids, but I still want those buttons available. What about when the remote isn't handy or you lose it? Guest guest
Lynn, That is why we will make sure Cochlear does not make that mistake. LOL *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* I saw a sign at a gas station. It said 'help wanted'. There was another sign below it that said 'self service'. So I hired myself. Then I made myself the boss. I gave myself a raise. I paid myself. Then I quit. & Dreamer Doll (Guide Dawggie) Newport, Oregon N24C 3G 8/2000 Hookup rclark0276@... http://webpages.charter.net/dog_guide/
Guest guest
I totally agree with you, Lynn. IMHO, Med-El would have been wise in copy of the leading example in remotes in hearing aids from Phonak, the originator of the idea in the first place, I believe. In all of their BTE aids with either the WatchPilot or Sound Pilot remote feature, the manual controls remain available, for when Fido mistakes the remote for a Milk-Bone! <G> In the ITE styles, however, the buttons are available as an option. (and a wise one!) Med-El does need to bring the buttons back as a backup for the US market, once again, IMHO. Guest guest
Hi, Just getting caught up with e-mail from over the weekend. My phonac aids had a remote and I hated it. That said, I know it can be a great help and I would probably even prefer it with my Freedom. By the way, the remote for the hearing aids DO come with a string to wear around your neck!
