The t Clerc National Deaf Education Center at Gallaudet

University Presents

Summer Institute 2006

June 19th – July 9th

The Clerc Center offers workshops and trainings on various topics to

parents, caregivers, educators, administrators and other

professionals across the country who work with deaf and hard of

hearing children.

This year, the Clerc Center offers three weeks of intensive trainings

and workshops—from Literacy to Lego Robotics, from Visual Phonics to

Digital Storytelling, from Portfolios to GLOBE, from Reggio Emilia to

Cochlear Implants. What a wonderful opportunity to learn something

new, hone your professional skills, meet and network with other deaf

professionals and make a difference in the education of deaf and hard

of hearing children.

Portfolios for Student Growth: Linking Academics and Self-Awareness

for Life-Long Success

Select a training—come for a week or two or all three! Take a

training—enjoy the 4th of July in Washington, DC and take another

training!

Thanks for forwarding this. I have fond memories of the two summers I spent at

Gallaudet. One summer was for the Intensive Sign Language Institute. And later

on, I worked as a teacher for the Family Learning Vacation program for families

with a HI/deaf child. Both were awesome experiences. This list makes me want to

go again esp the one for early childhood educators (the Reggi Emilia one).
