This year, the Clerc Center offers three weeks of intensive trainings and workshops—from Literacy to Lego Robotics, from Visual Phonics to Digital Storytelling, from Portfolios to GLOBE, from Reggio Emilia to Cochlear Implants. What a wonderful opportunity to learn something new, hone your professional skills, meet and network with other deaf professionals and make a difference in the education of deaf and hard of hearing children. One summer was for the Intensive Sign Language Institute. And later on, I worked as a teacher for the Family Learning Vacation program for families with a HI/deaf child. Both were awesome experiences.
