dear Yell,

I was born totally blind but with normal hearing. My hearing became a

light-moderate loss when I was 15, but I was too bullheaded to wear hearing

aids until I was 20 years old. I suffered constant ear infections and

whistling with improperly fitting earmolds until 2005 and my second CI

operation. I was 54 years old when I received my 3G and 55 when I received

my Freedom.
