I agree with what you are saying. After learning the LOA etc. I often get side tracked and want to manifest all kinds of material things in my life. But even after having so much in my life, I still am not satisfied and that is when I realize that no matter how much I have I will never be satisfied. After reading your message, I wanted to ask you what it is that one can do to reunite our soul with all-that is. What can we do to achieve the goal of self or god-realization? Sincerely, Malini Dayawanti D'Sa <dayawanti@bellsouth ..net> wrote: Dear ________, I don't know about the movie - THE SECRET- but I have ALWAYS known that life is not just about manifestation. ...our one most precious goal, given this precious human birth, is to reunite our soul with all-that-is, or " UNMANIFESTATION " – or in other words, taking our attention away from the material and physical. This goal of self-realization and God-realization is only possible in a human birth, because the consciousness level is higher than in other births (and in India we believe there are 8.4 million species into which we can be born, in the cycle of life and death and reincarnation) . Yes, an intense focus on manifestation can be a distraction from that, yet I believe in positive mysticism, in which we live our livelihood at the same time and take the time for our spiritual practices too, instead of going to live like a hermit in the Himalayas, so the requirement of standing on one's own feet and earning a living requires some understanding of the laws of attraction. I believe there is a place in the lives of humans for learning manifestation, but I do not believe it is the end-all and be-all of life....for sometimes the supreme focus on manifestation, can withdraw one's attention from the true purpose....which is the reunion of the Soul with its Source...and it is a purpose, which for many, is still undiscovered… Thank you for bringing this discussion on board and shedding some Light on a balanced approach to life. Warmly, Dayu
