Guest guest
Hi, I don't post much on the board anymore, even though I often mean to. I had to post today because I am so unbelievably happy with my weight loss. I was hoping to lose 100 lbs by the end of the first year, but it has only taken a little over 8 months. I can't believe how much better I feel. Not only physically but emotionally. As with everyone that has lost this amount of weight I have had some firsts that I thought would never come. For the first time in years I can fly without a seat extender, its no longer an effort to walk or step up on a curb.(Sometimes I feel like I can glide...lol) My knees no longer hurt. I no longer get easily winded. I can go on my daughters trampoline. (You have to be under 250) I fit better in seats and I no longer wonder if there will be enough room to fit my huge belly when I sit in a booth. I know there have been more but that's all i can think of right now. Losing the hair is the hardest part so far, otherwise it has been very easy. I have had a few bouts with naseau (one really bad) but nothing major went wrong. I wasn't sure if I had done the right thing after I had the surgery, but now I know I have. I am thankful everyday that I took the chance. I feel better about myself than I have in years. I always thought it was strange when someone told the MGB doctors thank you, now I understand! I need to thank them for coming up with a weight loss surgery I was comfortable with. (I really didn't want anything cut out) I also need to thank them for being well trained and for making sure they did all they could to keep me safe during the surgery. Thank you Dr.R for coming up with a less evasive weight loss surgery and then making sure others are properly trained to perform it! Thank you Dr. P and Dr. Raj for doing such a great job and for helping me to have a better life! 1/16/06 339/
