Guest guest
Angie, I know how scarey it is to see the weight rise, but you know that your clothes are fitting better. There are many of us who are fitting into significantly smaller sizes even tho our weights are " up. " I'm about 145 and wearing 8s and 10s. In the past, I was about 120 when I fit in those sizes! RELAX!!! And, step back so you can get a realistic view of your overall progress. You're doing great! ;-) F > I feel really good today. What do you guys think? > Angie, I know it's difficult not to go by the scale, but it's really not an accurate way to measure your success. You will build muscle and may not show a loss on the scale, but you will notice that your clothes fit better and may even start getting loose. This will probably happen even though the number on the scale hasn't budged! The last time I fit into a pair of 7/8 pants, I was starving myself and weighed 130 lbs. Now, I weigh 148 lbs and can fit into that same size. Tae-bo will help you tone and fit into smaller clothes. As long as that happens, it doesn't matter what number the scale says
Guest guest
Congratulations !! How often are you getting your fills?? I had my 1st fill a week in a half ago and I dont really know what I am supposed to be feeling. I do know that I am doing an awful lot of sliming!! I have also noticed that if I eat soupy foods I am fine but it seems to be difficult for me to eat foods where I have to really chew. That is a struggle for me! Keep up the good work!! Guest guest
Tammy, You know you need to be careful if you are sliming a lot. Try to record what foods are causing you to slime. Then ask your self is it because I ate too much, didn’t chew enough, or is the food fibrous? If it is meat making you slime, try adding a sauce like ketchup or your favorite BBQ sauce or whatever to make it go down easier. Stay away from pasta, rice, bread, and anything real fibrous. With every fill, you learn about your band and what foods you can eat. You should not be just eating liquids because as you know, that could lead to soft food syndrome. I know it is hard trying to figure out what you shoud be feeling. Basically you should be able to eat solids, just less of them. When you are at your sweet spot you will feel full (bandster full) on a cup to a cup and a half of food (meat, veggie, carb) and stay satisfied at least 3 to 4 hrs. (If not longer). Guest guest
Tammy, I had my first fill almost 8 weeks after surgery in September, And then my 2nd fill may 5th, almost 8 months later, and this last fill June 19th. I maybe should have not waited so long on my 2nd on 'cause i gained some weight. I also was having the same problem as you and I guess I hit my sweet spot because I am not feeling the discomfort I used to feel when I ate solids, Like the food was getting stuck in the stoma. I know now that that is a sign for me that I need a fill. Well, good luck and thanks. tammy irish <tammyntod@...> wrote: Congratulations !! How often are you getting your fills??
