Hi Jo

Thanks for your input

That's what I'll do.

Your suggestion is the same as Wade's and that makes it a UNANIMOUS DECISION.

Looks like there's no room for error.

:-)

Thanks again

Hi Roy

I am also fairly new at this and share your enthusiasm. I ordered

the " EFT Course " and because of the great discount ordered " Steps

towards becoming the Ultimate Therapist " and I am VERY pleased with

both. Do the " EFT Course " first. You won't be disappointed in either

of these sets.

Happy tapping!

Hi Pam

Thanks for the info.

That's just what I wanted to know. :-)

Do them in the order thay list. COOL.

I will look into the book you recommend after I get into the Cd's.

I want to see what's there and what I do with it.

Pam, I intend to go as far with this as I can, being that I am 65 it kind of

rule out being a Master because of the three to five years of practice needed.

We will see how it goes.

I can't imagine not using this to kelp other people, so I will need to qualify

for letters after my name.

If you, or anyone thinks of anything else PLEASE feel free to get your

thoughts or ideas to me.

Thanks again

Roy,

Believing that your age rules out being a Master is a limiting belief. You

can eliminate that belief with the tapping. I notice that limiting beliefs

are one of the hardest things to see in ourselves, but easy to spot in

others. Just tap on that belief ten times and you will realize that it makes

no matter that it takes three years.

Hi Carol

Thanks for your information.

I was talking about my age not as a limit for my ability. I was referring to

the usable time I may have left. YES .. I am in great health and expect to live

a long time but you don't find many 70 year olds doing seminars do ya. The other

side of that is ... as a 70 or so year old ... would I even have the energy to

do a whole days work ... or even want to.

I've never been that old before and the people that I know that old don't have

the energy or the desire to work any more than they need to. Sure, there are

exceptions and I may be one of them. Only time will tell.

Can you see a 70 year old just starting out as a NEW EFT master opening a

business?

It's a little hard for me to see this.

Sometimes I'm a little too practical.

Your thoughts.

Just 2 nights ago we saw a little old lady on TV. I think she should be an

inspiration to everyone, whatever their age.

She had a heart bypass operation last year, enough to stop most elderly

people. But not this lady. She catches public transport and walks

considerable distances to get to the hospital where she works (voluntary

work). She does the filing (lifting heavy patient files effortlessly!),

pushes trolleys full of heavy files from one department in the hospital to

another, talks to the patients, cheering them up. All in all, a very

physically demanding job.

ŒSo what!¹ you say, lots of people in their 70s do that. But this lady is

104 !!!! and didn¹t look a day over 75 !!!

Age is what you make of it. Many new retirees start new businesses, some of

them very demanding, physically and mentally. It keeps them young, in heart,

mind and body.

It seems to me that you are only as old as you allow yourself to be. If you

want to give up and be an old man at 70, then you will be. My uncle died at

64 and looked 94. He gave up in his 50¹s. Life was too hard for him and it

was easier to be an invalid. My father (late 70s) has had heart bypass

surgery but still manages to put on the best Christmas Lights show in his

city, every year, all supported by his hand welded steel frames that he

drags up onto his roof every year. It keeps him young. We all know examples

of people at both extremes, those who give up far too early, and those who

keep themselves young in very old age.

Without something to do, elderly people feel sorry for themselves and Å’take

it easy¹. The moment you start taking it easy, you are giving in to age, and

you start to age, you start to slow down. This becomes a vicious circle and

before you know it, you¹ve stopped completely, all because you started

slowing down.

So, you have a choice, you can do what you want to do. The secret is to find

out what you really want to do, then do it.

EFT can help you with this ... Tap on your fears of being too old, of not

having enough energy, of not wanting to start something new that you won¹t

be able to follow through with, of not having enough usable time left. Tap

on not know what the future holds, on not wanting to have the energy to do a

days work, on not having the desire to work any more than you need to, on

wanting to/being afraid of being an exception to the rule, on being too

practical.

I was talking about my age not as a limit for my ability. I was referring

to the usable time I may have left. YES .. I am in great health and expect

to live a long time but you don't find many 70 year olds doing seminars do

ya. The other side of that is ... as a 70 or so year old ... would I even

have the energy to do a whole days work ... or even want to.

I've never been that old before and the people that I know that old don't

have the energy or the desire to work any more than they need to. Sure,

there are exceptions and I may be one of them. Only time will tell.

Can you see a 70 year old just starting out as a NEW EFT master opening a

business?

It's a little hard for me to see this.

Sometimes I'm a little too practical.

My step father has recently completed his studies to become a counsellor

he¹s about your age, mid 60s, the same age as my partner who¹s fighting very

strong medical advice to retire fighting because of all the reasons I¹ve

listed above. For him, it¹s a very real dilemma because all his family have

died in their 90¹s and he doesn¹t want to stop work any time soon and was

planning to work until he dies in his 90s, but he¹s walking a very fine line

between two very different futures, so he¹s having to re-evalute his future

a little earlier than he was planning to.

Many people who run business seminars are retired businessmen who don¹t want

to stop. Many of them are in their 70s. People will pay a lot of money to

listen to an older person because they have many life experiences to draw

on. You¹ve been there, done that, so you know and understand where people

are coming from.

It¹s up to you... Do whatever your heart tells you to do.

Best wishes

Jocie

Well, yes, I can see someone doing that if they wanted to. That's what I

mean by limiting beliefs. Just because you don't see others doing it doesn't

mean you couldn't do it. How old was when he started this I wonder? I

was pretty old when I started my hypnotherapy business. I just decided that

that's what I wanted to do, and set out to do it. Most of my friends were

starting to retire as I got an office and set up shop.

My mother taught me a lot about age. She died last year at this time. Three

months before her death she was still driving, still mowing her yard and

still helping the old ladies at church. She had a mind as sharp as a tack,

and was still informing me of current events. When she died, she was 97.

If you don't want to become an EFT master, that is one thing, but if you

think it is ridiculous because of your age, or wonder what others will

think, that is a limiting belief.

I apologies for not being clear on what I intended to say.

I am, by no means, to old to become an EFT Master.

What I have been trying to say is that in 3 to 5 years, the necessary time

required to become a master by , I will be 68 to 70 years old.

That's a little old to start a business BECAUSE most likely I would have a

hard time building it for two reasons. One is that it takes TIME(sometimes

YEARS) to build a business. Will I have years? and how many? Will my mind and

health still be good? Or, because of the mentioned things , will it be a money

pit?

Will I still have the energy to work a full day? Will I even want to?

It seems to me that there are not many people that start a business at that

age. It also seems to me that people would be reluctant to go to a person, NEW

EFT Master, that old. It would be a different story if that old person were a

master in the field for many years.

Maybe I'm wrong.

Maybe I have something to learn here

My health is good. My mind is good. I have the power.

I will become an EFT MASTER.

BUT will I be able to do anything more than help my friends and their friends?

Will my mind last?

That is my question.

I appreciate your getting back to me and I welcome any other comments or

suggestions from you or anyone in the forum

Thanks for your thoughts.

:-)

To ALL of you that responded to me.

Thanks for putting it ON THE LINE for me.

I do, very much appreciate it.

I SEE THE LIGHT :-)

It's the LIGHT OF LIFE.

I now have a very different picture of MY LIFE.

I'll TAP,TAP,TAP till I have it all worked out.

Thanks for sticking in here with me and coming from different prospectives.

I have a whole different view now.

I will be a MASTER and I will go where my heart takes me with it.

What a lessen this has been..... WOW

It's funny how I was lead here and how you fine people have shown me " THIS IS

WHERE I SHOULD BE "

Thank you all soooo very much

I'm on the right track now I'm sure.

This has been a real eye opener for me.

It looks like I WAS THE ONE that didn't understand what I said.

Had all of this information come from one person it would not have had the

IMPACT it has with me.

ON WITH LIFE

Thanks Again
