Going for a fill

, Good luck with the fill!

I'd be onterested in learning more about the assessment form your doc

uses, to help determine if someone needs a fill. please share what you

can remember of it.

When we are tweaking fills, as little as 0.1 - 0.2 cc can make all the

difference. In my experience, docs often take out too much, and then

replace too much instead of going much more slowly.

Don't worry about it. Pork is of ZERO importance.

Hmmmmmm...I guess I was hoping for more.. It's a start, though. maybe

you can help him improve it.

Too many subjective things here to be very useful, imo.

What is a " small " meal? To some , that would be 1/4 cup. to

others, " only " 3 cups when they were used to 5x that.

What is 'satisfied " ?

plus we never lose a regular 1# a week!

He was a lot of fun today. He seemed more relaxed and easy going. My

aunt and I both thought so. Hopefully, over time, he will be

receptive to suggestions. Just let me get losing better first.

Hopefully this fill will do it. I do get full pretty easily most of

the time. I also do get hungry sooner than I would like.

Be sure you're having a good bandster meal of solid protein and

veggies, 1-1.5 cups total, as that is really the only good test of a

fill. start lunch and dinner with at least a few bites of meat,

chicken, or solid fish. These go thru the slowest, and will keep the

other foods eaten after from going thru quickly.

a " good fill " has aas much to do with food choices and eating

techniques, as with he fill level itself.

Good luck! hope this one turns out good!

That is how I always eat. I've been getting on my aunt about it. I

found out yesterday, she's been drinking with her meal and wonders

why she is getting hungry.

here. This is a guide I use to help me decide on getting a fill:

Before getting a fill, ask yourself these questions.

Are you getting enough protein?

Are you avoiding liquid calories?

Are you making healthy food choices?

Are you eating proper food portions?

Are you avoiding soft foods?

Are you drinking 6-8 glasses of water a day between meals?

Are you avoiding drinking during and for at least 45 minutes after

meals?

Are you avoiding junk foods?

Are you eating protein first, then veggies?

Are you eating only when you are hungry?

Are you sitting down to eat? No distractions.

Are you committed to weight loss?

Are you honest to yourself about how much you are eating?

Avoid all liquid calories.

-Soups

-Alcohol

-All fruit juices

-All soft drinks. No carbonation.

Proper portion sizes.

-Meat and fish - 3 oz is the size of a deck of cards.

-Vegetables - 1/2 cup is the size of your fist.

-No rice, potatoes, pasta and fried foods.

Now that you are following the above guidelines, you may need a fill

if:

-You are making healthy food choices in appropriate portion sizes but

getting hungry within 2-3 hrs after eating.

-Your weight loss has stopped for 3 wks even though you are

controlling portions and getting in enough protein (60 - 80grms) and

avoiding liquid calories.

-You are not drinking with meals.

-You are hungry between meals even after a proper band snack.

Good luck!
