So I found this site from a link someone left on another board, I haven't had a huge chance to read through because it's a bit difficult to navagate through all these posts. I have a cholesteatoma, I was diagnosed about 2 weeks ago and have surgery for a mastoidectomy/typanoplasty (sp?) on March 10th. I am just hoping to find out what life will be life for me after and how to best prepare, any tips or tricks? I don't know what all the recovery entails like being able to wash my hair? And how long til I can shower and such. And do they leave a drainage tube in? My doctor covered some things but there were so many questions I never thought to ask. Thanks everyone!
