Go to a Health food store and buy Nonie Juice, and have her take it religiously and it will not only help the pain, but will help build the immune system, therefore helping the Ctoma.

Does beefing up the immune system actually help with the ctoma? Or just maybe with fewer infections and less mucous in the ears? It seems like once those little skin cells are in the middle ear, they are going to grow, whether your immune system is strong or not... it seems like a strong immune system might help you keep the negative pressure from developing in the first place, which then leads to the little skin cells getting in the wrong place. What do you all know about this?

I only know since I started taking Nonie and I am NOT endorsing, selling or anything like that, My arthritis pain has decreased, and my eight year old, who had ctoma surgery in Dec, hasn't had her usual colds this winter, since taking it, therefore other than the aggravation of the surgery and ctoma, she hasn't had her usual ear aches, and runny nose this winter, I am not an expert on anything and do not profess to be.we4counts@... wrote:

Hi Folks our 8 year old boy went to the otologist today and has a definate cholesteatoma in the left ear but not sure about the right as it was rather angry today, they have put him on an urgent waiting list which means surgery within 4-5 weeks, he otologist has also gone over the fitting of a BAHA. My wife i think found this all quite too much to take in and became very upset whilst at the hospital, especially when the otologist was taking about what can happen if it is left untreated. I'm of the mind to take this one operation at a time, our son has special needs as it is and bounces back after any surgery so i'm hopeing that this will be the same.

Nonie juice isn't all it is cracked up to be... Apparently the natives of the island where the nonie berries are gathered, are very healthy.... however, the price of the juice is excessive and there is no proven data that it is effective for preventing or curing disease, yet the producers of this juice and products promote it that way. It is probably not even as effective as a good diet with fibre and vitamin C.

It also may have a placebo effect because many people who are taking it really believe it is helping. But keep in mind that a lot of people are getting rich selling the stuff. There was a doctor here in Ontario who was warned by the OMA because he was selling nonie products to his patients. This doctor was also involved in other types of pyramid schemes and has been sued several times, so he has no credibility. So be careful. It isn't going to hurt you, but you are probably wasting your money.

Hi , Hi

I understand what you mean about it being 'too much' to take in in one go.

I am a grown woman, diagnosed with Cholesteatoma in 1999. I had it removed at the WHH, Ashford - I live ni Folkestone, just down the road from you. I, too, have a BAHA. If you would like to get in touch with me privately, please mail me direct - 39@...

All the best

Kazzy :-)
