Guest guest
This is the week i start my floxin drops. Am I still supposed to keep the cotton ball in daily? I change it about 3 times throughout the day. Theres always just a little blood/dranainge on the cotton ball when i switch them out. I might not even bleeding the drops could be making the dried blood in my ear turn the drainage red. So a week post op, keep the cotton ball in or can i leave out? Guest guest
I was specifically told by my surgeon to keep the cotton ball out after my packing was removed (one week post op). Keep tissue with you at all times for the unexpected draining during the day and keep a couple of hand towels on your pillow at night. Your ear might be a little sensitive to wind and cold at first, but that goes away quickly. Red drainage (blood) to orangish (blood serum) is normal, a foul smell is a sign of infection, which means you should call your doctor immediately. Use the Floxin drops as perscribed, do not miss a dose. Last Friday was three weeks post op for me and the draining has completely stopped. Although I cannot see inside my ear completely, outside looks like nothing was ever done! Rich > > This is the week i start my floxin drops. Am I still supposed to keep > the cotton ball in daily? Guest guest
I havent had the packing taken out yet. My next appointment for that is in two weeks. But a week after I was supposed to start doing the drops, even with the packing in. I think it softens up the paking and even makes removal easier at a later date. > > > > This is the week i start my floxin drops. Am I still supposed to keep > > the cotton ball in daily?
