Your the second person I have met that didn't respond and both times the people were under a lot of stress during treatment.I sent info and so did Deb on new treatments that won't be so hard on you.

Gail

RE: stuff

Gail, me too on the genotype two thing you said. Im surprised too. Maybe all the stress lowered my immune system? i dunno. Im just learning like the rest of the world. What do you suppose would happen if i just practiced meditation and relaxation and opted not to do the tx again? what do you think? cuz that tx was hard on this kid for a good long time. Its supposed to be at my door by thursday morning but im still pondering not going through it again, specially with Serena to run after, cuz as i recall i wasnt doin a hella lot of running last round. course im generally healthier this time. scuse my rambling, my brains on spin cycle. Joe:

I've had an interesting life. Spent eight years in the Air Force who sent

me to Syracuse University to study Russian (9 months each time) and then to

various classified tech schools. Two tours in Germany, three years where I

flew (1000+ hours) in the back end of a C-130 on spook missions as an

analyst. Afterwards I did grad work at Columbia while I worked in the

Buildings and Grounds Department. Ran a few contract cleaning companies and

brcame a management consultant. Heart went south, and I had to quit that.

Marriage went south too. took a temporary job with the postal

service--divorce left me really broke--and was told by my cardios the

exercise was necessary for my survival. went from overachiever to

underachiever in a fdew months. Learned to be happy. (Making other people

gnash their teeth at my puns and jokes may be the sadistic reason for that.)

have not worked since '98. Second wife says I haven't worked around the

house since we got married. turned 65 in December, and if I don't start

doing some housework soon, I probably won't see 66.

From Califrornia where putting food on the table is easy. Teaching the one

year old to eat with a spoon is the hard part.

I got shocked this week too..

I took my baby out of her highchair, felt dizzy, sat down and proceeded to pass out. Apparently I hit the front of my head on one chair and the back of my head on another chair. She watched the whole thing.. thankfully my husband and other kids were in another room.

Turns out I had a pause (maybe due to my 37.5 mg dose of Coreg!) then the pacer kicked in and threw me into VF. So my ICD killed me then brought me back. They put in an atrial lead to hopefully that will prevent pauses which will eliminate the need for ventricular pacing.

It never ends.

I got shocked too this week, my concern is if it will

show up on my event recorder. My shock was of the 120

volt house variety. It was like Larry, Curly, and Moe.

The Moe I laughed at my stupidity, the Moe I got

shocked. I told the little woman ok shut the power off

and all she heard was ok. It has been a shocking

Fathers day. Wishes to you all.

Oh , I'm sorry. I have young children too; I had my first heart

attack when my youngest was still a nursling, and they've grown up with

hospitals and paramedics, so I know what you're going through. Have you

seen the book " Cereal for Dinner " ? It's very good. It's about being the

mother of young children with a chronic and/or life-threatening

illness.

Lyn That post just brought tears to my eyes. Had a similar experience

in the shower. I fell and hit my head . When I woke up screaming and

saw my husband and boy slumped over me diaing 911. I just hope this

gets easier because I seem to be frightened to do anything. Thanks for

inspiring me.

> How do you keep going???? My kids are the only thing keeping me going

> I think.

When I got sick last year, I was quite frank with everyone that if it

weren't for my children I wouldn't have wanted to live. When you are a

mama you don't get that option, you have to live if it's at all

possible.

I'm glad I'm alive now. The first year was very hard, but things are

showing improvement now (she says, rubbing the bruises on her arms from

the warfarin). I think my condition (essentially malpractice) is very

different from yours. I was able to go to cardiac rehab, for instance.

But Mama couldn't drive for six months, had to close her business and

is still often too tired to go do things with her girls.

Remember you always have understanding ears here.

Best to you,

Lynn S.

Pretty amazing all t hese new techniques. I never thought knees would

be solved but sounds like Dr Coons has solved them.

Saw my doctor's nurse today for the 2-weeks-before visit. She said I

had to have general anasthesia so that's that.

Best wishes to all.
