Guest guest
Speaking of eyes, I just wanted to relate a story of an eye injury that is still bothering me a great deal, and wondered if anyone here has any recommendations. On Christmas morning 2009, I'm laying their thinking of getting up, in an instant my cat jumped up on my book-case headboard, stepped on the edge of a book, and as I looked up, the edge of the book hit the inside of my left eye!!! - I spent the rest of the day in incredible pain, but I live in a tiny small farming community and could not get to the city for help. I put cold packs on and just kept it closed. Long story short, over the next day or so the pain subsided and I just nursed it along, but have since felt like there was a hair inside there. If I look up the pain starts again, it tears badly and I have to keep it closed for awhile to get it back to normal. Looking up, is not good for it. Three weeks ago I went to the hospital and had a visit with an eye surgeont. He examined it with a fine tooth comb (not really) but did a great job and said there was no longer any apparent injury, and it might be a little left over from the contusion. He gave me some 5% salt solution and steriods (I will not do the steroids). I still get that terrific pain every once in awhile, and the sense that something is in there bother me greatly, and it tears something fierce. I'm supposed to go back May 5th, but I'm not sure for what, since his already said there is nothing wrong. I don't want something down the line to result from this, and I'm a little scared as to what to do for it myself. Can anyone here recommend something I could put in there to heal whatever it is that is causing it to feel like I have debris in it, and also to heal it. I was thinking CO, but I'm reluctant to put it into my eyes due to its acid content. HELP.
