1944 in Arlington, VA, the daughter of Col. and

Founder of the Tennessee Chapter of Little People of America and a

strong advocate for the disabled, Beth was also active in state and

local politics as a loyal Democrat. She was a leader in the

Tennessee Education Association and a delegate to the national

convention of the National Education Association throughout her

career.
