Yes Tony I make wine and mead, its not illegal and my small can not get

to it. I do not use profanity. This list is supposed to be PG. I don’t

like it that every time I post you flame me. If you have a problem get a

psychiatrist, instead of flaming people.

Tony,

I know that you are now a member of the LDS church, and that alcohol is

forbidden (or has that changed?).

But since ancient times, fermented beverages have been a staple of human

consumption. In fact, it was only recently (within the past 200 years) that

restrictions on children drinking wine and ale was imposed on Western

society. You see, the alcohol killed all the microbes that might

contaminating a water supply. Even today, many countries in Europe have no

problems with kids drinking wine or beer (at home, in moderation).

I'm not advocating for minors to be drinking. But chastising someone for

making beer in their own house is a far cry from asking someone to use

polite language publicly in the presence of children.

(In fact, I almost feel like an idiot for responding to your flame. Much

ado about nothing.)

(And yes, I too am a religious person, and yes, we drink real wine at

communion. A practice dating back to ancient Israel.)

I was just having fun.

As for my view on drinking and My LDS Faith. I am not perfect.

The Word of Wisdom is doctrine that is intended to keep the inner

body pure.

I believe Muslims, Hindu, and Buddhists also avoid it.

Many think avoiding Tea, Coffee and Alchohol is hogwash, I did too.

But Last year I was losing my voice from damage

( Many rejoiced) due to Acid reflux burns in my Larynx.

The first thing mu ENT told me to cease immediately was all TEA,

Coffee, Caffeine, Alcohol and Smoking.

I never smoked, drank tea, but was huge on coffee and wine.

So whatever the LDS prophits were led to follow in 1897, came to be

in the 20-21st Centuries.

However I am not perfect in these areas and I don't preach or tell

anyone not to drink

Salt Lake City, the home of the LDS, has an achondroplastic dwarf in their

family!!!!

A branch of my 'tree' emigrated there, all became Mormon and then one had a

daughter the ilk of me!

So, I tell everyone, " We have a pair of Shorts " in our tree!

I think your stragety of " open diaglogue " has done more to promote

arguments than to build consensus. Certainly your public posting of

this private response suggests this and does little for my confidence

in your leadership ability.

I can sympathize with your platform and I respect that you are taking a

stand - though I do not agree with it. But, that's not what bothers me.

Your conduct and your behaviour are sabotaging your campaign. I would

suggest that you start focusing on the issues - like I said in an

earlier post - and stop whining about what others think of you. You

have already lost me as a supporter and it's time for damage control.

As for Rose, Whims, and the rest of the list, please forgive me, but

I've just about had enough. (I did delete the post with the foul

language.) I felt this had to be shared publicly.

If what you are stating is, there are pairs of Short's all around the world,

correct. So there would the pairs in England being the damp Short's, from all of

that Fog that London is so famous for, and those who are out there in Utah, as

they would be the dry Short's, since Salt Lake is so hot during the Summer

months, leaving us with a pair of wet and dry Short's in your family tree,

right, roflmao.
