YES!!!! I used to break out in hives after taking

Singulair. I am no longer taking it. 15 minutes

after taking it I'd start to get a rash around my

throat and then it would spread downward acros my

chest. After a second week of taking/breaking out in

hives it my doctor took me off of it. Have you

talked to the doctor who prescribe Singulair?!

Do you use any topical steroids on your rash. My daughter broke out in hives and

they did a patch test because they thought it was due to a contact allergy.

Turns out she developed a allergic reaction to the topical steroid creams she

was using for her eczema rash. Talk about irony, Good luck finding the cause,

I have had quite a few skin issues in the last 5 years. I developed a

sensitivity to UV light and can't go to a taning bed anymore or lay in the sun.

I have to use very strong sunblock on my face because I develop melasma (brown

patches) on my forehead and the sides of my cheeks. It does not hurt or itch,

but it looks terrible. Like giant age spots. Also, I had shingles rash 5 years

ago over my hip joint, which was followed by joint aches. There has also been a

numb, scaly, quarter-size patch of skin on the outside of my left ankle. It

seems to be getting darker and lighter with joint pain flares. Just about

nothing would surpise me about this condition anymore. You should call your

doctor. Hope you get the problem resolved and feel better soon. Best wishes,

Susie

When my nt food allergy guy has the hives, they've always gone away at some

point. I've only had two times that I've used Benadryl for hives but other

allergic reaction when trying to figure the poor guy out. Amazing results. One

was his first ingestion with peanuts, not good. I know many don't like

Benadryl, but if they go away, to me it means he's allergic to something.

Laundry detergent, soaps, foods, something..... Prednisone would also get rid

of them. But again, short term correction and you'll need to figure out what it

is. You can always back off all his supplements, it could be causing issues.

Our last major rash, two was from digestive enzymes, Houston. Guessing the

flavoring. Not familiar with die off reactions myself.

[ ] Re: Hives

It started 2 months ago with welts on his rear end. then on and off he will

get what looks like a large mosquito bite bump with a red patch of skin around

it, looks like a hive- on his back or legs. But last night he had both welts and

those red bumps like your son did.

This has been going on for months now and no Dr we see can help us, not even a

DAN!.

Is there anything I can do for him to make the hives go away?

nizoral again.

posted it on a message board, most of the replies said it looked like yeast or

yeast die off. So if your child's skin looks like this, and just after GSE, it

might be yeast die off.
