I think 73 is normal. Mine is in the 90s most of the time, I love it when it is in the 70s. Lynn

Re: Chest pains

Thanks for responding. I just timed it now and it was 73 beats in one minute. Is it safe to go through surgery with this?>> Hello Stephie~> Yes, many do. I have had chest congestion and a cough for many years. They say it

is from allergies. The past 2 years, this got much worse as did all

my other symptoms. My immune system is shot and so my body thinks I'm

allergic or sensitive to sooooo many things.

Do you have allergies? Is is a tightness or congestion?

Hi, It feels like congestion. I do have allergies and I get an

allergy shot every week. It's not every day but sometimes my chest

feels very congested and a dry cough.

I would certainly ask your allergist. The last time I tried shots, I

was so sensitive to the allergens that my whole arm would swell. I

had to quit them. You might be more sensitive to those lately? Or to

the other things you are allergic to in general.

I go for shot #5 this Friday. I am on low dosage once a month and it

has helped where I don't wake up at night and I use my inhaler much

less. It seems 4 or 5 days before I am do my asthma flares but just a

little. This past week I have needed my inhaler everyday sometimes 2

or 3 times a day. I start wheezing and my chest hurts. I also have

pain in my upper back shoulder to shoulder. I do cough a little but

don't show any signs of an upper resp. infection.

ok now my questions. Should I still go for my shot Friday or call

the doctor first? are these symptoms normal for a resp. infection?

for me When my asthma got bad I usually had an infection with the

nasal congestion, deep cough, etc. and dont have any of these except

the slight cough Any ideas what this could be? thanks. jean
