Guest guest
Hi all, Today makes 2 years since I had my operation total hip replacement of my right hip. Best thing I ever did, I was worried in the beginning about my youngish age (46 now) but I need not of worried, all is great I know rehab was hard tho(as I have always been unfit) not what I was expecting..But in the end I got the results I was hoping for. When my hip was playing up, I lost the quality of life I once had, having had the op, I am now back to where I was years ago, I do some things a bit different now tho, like when I pick something off the ground I go to my knees rather than crouch, little things that help me now. About a year before my op, I went on holiday with my brother, we stayed in the same room, he said all night long when I rolled over in bed, I screamed out in pain, thats how bad it was.. I now work in a job where I am lifting all day long, and on my feet, thankfully no pain, a bit stiff at times, but thats ok. Good luck to u all, and have a merry xmas Mark
