I know what you mean by shock...I don't own a scale and when I renewed

my driving license she asked is hair, height and eye color were the

same...well

I said maybe the weight had changed! lol

I'd love to be a buddy with you. I did cut out my daily coke about 3

months

ago. But I am still not doing what I should be doing.

it can't hurt to take a multi-vitamin. what dosage are you on?

Wow, it seems like since I've been taking Lexapro, I've gained weight.

I believe a multi-vitamin would help you. But you might want to check in to

something specifically for energy boost.

I do know that I feel different and sluggish on the days when I dont keep up

with my vitamin regimin.

What vitamins does everyone suggest? One a day WeightSmart?

Well I was so afraid of weightgain. I am shocked as well.

Hi.,just wondering those of you taking coconut oil and on a calorie restricted

diet,to lose weight. If say your eating a thousand cals a day wich I know is

low.,then you take 3tbls of coconut oil your total cals for the day are reduced

to seven hundred.,wich is way to low.,how do you all do it.,if your on a

restriction to lose weight and want to use the coconut oil? Thanks in

When I went to the nutritionist I was at 85 lbs and I am 5ft. She put me on a

1072 calorie diet and I was able to lose weight on it. She used some sort of

formula to come up with it, but I dont remember what it was.  She was not sure

if it would work but wanted me to try it for a month and then check. I lost

weight in the first month so she assumed it was a good goal. After that she said

to just barely go over that in order to maintain.

 

Otherwise I dont know what our exact intake should be. Im sure it still depends

on your height and current weight.

I weigh 55 lbs. I used the USDA Food Tracker web site to get a sense of how

much I eat and how balanced my food intake is. It's pretty individual how much

we need. Before I was ventilated I burned a lot more calories. For me to

maintain my weight I eat between 900 and 1300 calories a day. When I'm

successful at more consistently eating at the high end of that range, I gain

weight. Gaining is my goal.

The only way I've found is by eating way, way, way less. For me

that's under 800 calories a day. And that is still slow going. It's

always been a struggle for me.

I just came across a very interesting article with regards to weight loss.

The following is an excerpt. It is well worth your while to read the entire

article.

pound of weight is wrong. The body changes as you lose. Interestingly, we also

found that the fatter you get, the easier it is to gain weight. An extra 10

calories a day puts more weight onto an obese person than on a thinner one.

Also, there’s a time constant that’s an important factor in weight loss.

That’s because if you reduce your caloric intake, after a while, your body

reaches equilibrium. It actually takes about three years for a dieter to reach

their new “steady state.†Our model predicts that if you eat 100 calories

fewer a day, in three years you will, on average, lose 10 pounds — if you

don’t cheat.

Another finding: Huge variations in your daily food intake will not cause

variations in weight, as long as your average food intake over a year is about
