I was thinking of building my own sauna and installing my own heaters.

Can't remember the reason why but I concluded it was a bad idea unless you

really know what you are doing. I have a sauna coffee table that I have on

top of my bed. When I get cold I just turn it on and put my feet under it.

I think it was 3 or 4 hundred dollars. Walmart has sauna's like the one I

have for 1800 dollars now. They are infra red.

Could I?

I wub you...thanks for that tip. I have a Walmart relatively close. Which

department would I

look in. I really wanted that Carbon Sun Light sauna but it is 5000CD. And I

just spent 450

on the Shield Life, which I find I cannot use, apparently I am giving it

impedance. Whatever

I am giving it or it is giving me sure is not a pleasant feeling. I have

determined a Health

Mate Sauna would be better for me. Different FIR, I believe and it would need to

be

verified, the HM is a ceramic heater.

I gave the Shield Life to my mother who is 71. She loves the thing. Woke up and

told me

how she has had this elbow problem for so long and after sleeping on the Shield

Life for a

few weeks it went away. She sleeps on it every night. I purchased it from a

Ceragem Dealer

in Calgary.

Oh well....my nickels are squeezed so hard they are leaving beaver poop in my

wallet.

Perhaps I should start a SAVE THE KAREN FUND...kind of like the whales should

have.

Dolphins too, oh and can't for get the muskee of St. Clare in Ontario.

Apparently they are

hot like me too....shoot eh?

Thanks ever so much. I am going tomorrow. That foot thing kind of has me

excited.

Gosh...

Hi, and Straitguy, and All,

I have been looking into FIR saunas, too. I called today locally about the

cost of buying one. The lady was very nice and did some good research for me.

She said that not all FIR saunas are created equally when it came to the

benefits of detoxing, which is what I wanted it for. She said in particular, to

avoid any with pressed wood or plywood as chemicals used in it gas out. She was

selling one which was lined with Canadian cedar for $4000, which she called the

manufacturer and asked about to see if it would be applicable for my situation.

She said that they did tests on it to see how effectively it worked on moving

toxins and she thought it sounded good for my needs. Sorry, I was so bummed out

when she said it was lined in cedar (as I am allergic to cedar) that I didn't

catch the particulars about the testing. Anyway, just writing if anyone needs

info re this sauna, I can get it. And, too, it was helpful to learn about the

plywood--I would have never thought to

ask about that.

Hi, yet again, ,

Forgot to mention but you probably know this. The woman told me I would also

want to look for a " wet " sauna, not a " dry " one. Would you react to the wood?

I react to alot of woods so who knows if I could do ANY sauna!

Perhaps there was a miscommunication with her, Diane. A Far Infra Red Sauna does

not

use water or heat by water. A Far Infra Red sauna uses specially prepared cedar

to prevent

chemical poisoning from emisisions of oxidation (outgasing). They generate heat

using

ceramic, germanium, or carbon.

I am using the Health Mate FIR sauna. I am outgasing, greenhousing actually, I

love it. I

tried it at first but became so sick. Everything was sort of too fast, my heart

was racing

and I developed very bad stomach pains. Now my stomach pains are kind of like

Watermelon stomach. GEEZZZZZZZ....you thought I would pop a baby out my

throat..LOLOL...but I spoke to a FIR " coach " who informed me I was going to

fast.

So on the advice of my FIR Oracle, to " slow down...little grasshopper...there is

nowhere to

hop to fast. There is plenty of time " ...it kind of went like that, I layed off,

then went back

to it.

Now, geezzz. with that and the clay advice...when my face is all done, I will

post a picture.

I have one of me before...Diane...I had turned completely white. My hair, my

skin was grey,

my gawd...I looked like my grandmother and I was only 44.

But now...man...with Ceragem and FIR and remineralizing with those supplements,

I am

really making progress.

Now if I could just get to this bone density thing. I weigh 150 pounds and I am

a size 2.

Sometimes a size 0. Tiny thing I am...kind of okay too I guess. I always thought

.... " if I

could just blend in better...maybe no one will notice I came... "

ROFL...

Luv ya'

Press/chipboard, bad news stuff. Interior plywood also contains

formaldehyde, which exterior does not, or at least didn't. Don't

know what is in their glues either.

Here's a link to build your own if you like. Get whatever planks of

wood don't bother you that way. Oh shoot, I cannot find it. It's in

my favorites, and even Google isn't help right now. But you get 3

infrared lamps and build your own. If I can find it, I'll post.

Personally I'm very much enjoying just laying under one large 250watt

light of it on it's own. May take longer, but more pleasant to me

than a sauna. I may add another light eventually, we'll see.

Oh, here's something interesting I hadn't seen before, (trying to

find the link for above.) -

And according to the " 9th edition of Clayton's

Electrotherapy " , " infrared is the only antidote to excessive

ultraviolet radiation. " Far infrared heat/energy is also capable of

neutralizing the negative effects of toxic electromagnetic

frequencies (EMF's). http://www.farinfraredsauna.com/
