I have to respond to the not recommended book What to Expect When Your Expecting by Arlene Eisenberg....the purpose of the book is to provide information, panicking isn't nessesary...I can't imagine why someone would...as always any concerns check with a doctor.......needlessly panic? ridiculious! I haven't read it, as I was told I shouldn't... I just make my husband

look up anything in it that we need to know (it's been sitting on my

shelf for three years, I have had him look up something once... but we

are all entitled to our own opinions. Guess my hubby is the

rediculous one... Thanks! :)

Oops! My toddler hit send before I was done formulating my thoughts...

What I was trying to say was:

I have not read it, as I was told I shouldn't. My husband screens all

reading material before he lets me read it when I'm pregnant, because

he wants to make sure I'm not inundated with negative thoughts. The

reason is that we practice HypnoBirthing as our birthing style, and in

order to make it the most effective, you should steer away from

negative thoughts and ideas, including troubles that could arrise (but

haven't) during pregnancy. So, he's the rediculous one, I suppose,

for telling me not to read it. However, the list of reading material

that I just shared was compliled by three midwives and 45 AP

(Attachment Parenting) moms... all of whom agree they would not

recommend that book for any expecting mom to read, cover-to-cover. So

you see, it's not *my* opinion (I can't formulate an opinion to

something I haven't read), but it is advice that was handed to me by

sources that I find very credible.

We are all entitled to our own opinions though.

Thanks! :)

Yes we are intitled to our own opinions...no biggie. I have never heard of hypnobirthing...it's been a few years since I was pregnant and had my last child...I can only wonder what's new these days lol. Sounds like your husband really cares and has your best interest in mind. Best wishes to you.

I was pregnant and it made me feel terrible. There was also an

article in the paper the author called it the worse case senario

handbook! LOL So, it's not just your husband. I wouldn't suggest

anyone read that crap unless they want to be paranoid and question

every decision they make.

My favorite vaccine book is by Dr. Tim O'Shea called, " Vaccination

I$ Not Immunization; the Sanctity of Human Blood " . You can get it at

http://thedoctorwithin.com

He comes out with a revised edition almost every year because of all

of the new vaccines they keep tacking on.I read the 2003 and 2005

editions. That was the clincher for me. No one in my family will ever

get a vaccine after reading that! Everyone that I have given a copy

to said the same thing. Pretty darn convincing.
