Guest guest
Good luck Edie! That first shot is usually pretty rough, but the next ones are much, much easier. Did you sign up for the Be-In-Charge program? Claudine __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Claudine, Yes, I signed up for the be in charge program. But, then a nurse called me and told me I can't join until I actually start treatment. She gave me some 800 number to call her back, and of course, I lost the number. Guest guest
Edie not to worry it is normal for them to do that. When they found out I was no longer on meds because of work problems they removed me. I have not got in touch with them this time. To be honest I have not thought about them till I read this e mail...Take Care, Connie __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Edie great and good luck! No way would I attempt treatment with interferon without an antidepressant! Good for you. Even then, treatment can be a roller coaster for some. I " was " a 1B, 1.3 million and currently undetected on combo down to 200 whatevers haha. And just 5 more weeks to go! yippeee! How long will you be doing treatment? Is the Amantadine (sp) in pill form? Be sure you get a baseline CBC before you start treatment (I'm sure the study will do that for you). And ask them what you can and cannot take while on treatment. Sometimes they are picky. / Alley alleypat@... oshidori@... http://www.alleypat.com My ICQ#:12631861 I can't think of a worse way to start a day than by waking up

Guest guest
/Alley: Because I am a 1a, I will be on the treatment for 48 weeks, unless I don't respond and then I will come off earlier. The amantadine is in pill form. I will have the once a week injection of interferon. I am going to start on the Friday after my Tuesday dr. appt so I can get the worst of the shot over with on the weekends. Gosh, I really hope this works. I was reading that my chances of success are about 47%. Claudine was saying I might have a slightly better chance because the 1b's drag down the 1's as a whole. I hope I am not too sick to work. Need the income now. Edie Re: Starting Triple Therapy > Edie great and good luck! > > No way would I attempt treatment with interferon without an antidepressant! > Good for you.
