Guest guest
Hi all, I too take advantage of the $4.00 scrip price at Walmart, but it only pertains to a few scrips, you can get a list from them of the ones that are available at that price. It's only about 2 pages. They're generic, and usually the ones that have been around awhile. It's very easy to sign up for it, but time consuming. What they suggest you do is take a copy of the list to your dr. to see if they can substitute one of the cheap ones for the one you currently take. I have quite a few scrips, but can only get 2 of them from the list from Walmart. I know that helps a little, just don't want people thinking every drug is available at that price. I get the rest of my scrips through the mail, I pay for a 3 month supply what I would pay for one month, and it's delivered in my mail within a couple days, postage free, and they bill me. I'm disabled through Medicare and chose AARP for my drug plan, and they told me how the mail order plan works. I called up their pharmacy, I just had to get a scrip for 3 month refill, but they were nice enough to call my dr. on one where i only had 1 month refill left. I gace them the info needed, and a couple days later, had a 3 month supply of my meds. For example, I have COPD, and have to take Singular every day, at Walmart(it's not on their $4.00 list) it would cost me $69.00 for a 1 month supply, through the mail order pharmacy, I paid that for 3 months! I saved $138.00. This was also available through the insurance plan i had when I was able to work, so i know AARP isn't the only insurance plan that offers it. Hope I've been able to help a little, you all have helped me so much... Jeannie ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha!
