Hi Carla,

I'm feeling wonderful since the tummy tuck, although I received a bill for

over $3,000.00 yesterday, saying it's the part that wasn't covered. They

agreed to pay it all to begin with, so I need to call today to see what the

deal is. The bill ended up being over 18K since I was in the hospital for 4

days. I will definitely file a grievance...(do I sound like I've been in the

union for too long?) lol

It's pretty funny you mention mischevious look...that's been said before

about little innocent ole me!! Must be the scorpio coming out....haha.

I hope to see ya tomorrow....we'll have to find too!!

With so many talking about these things I do not remember who did you

TT. I am starting to think about these things although I still have a long

way to go, my hanging tummy and my arms are really bad. It scares me to even

think of it, I have read so many saying how bad it was and I do not know,

first I do not know of a good doctor or where I would want to do it. Can

you tell me again. I remember writing to you after you had it. Hope to see

you at the picnic.

Hi Rosemary,

Dr. Lambeth with Raleigh Plastic Surgery did my tummy tuck July 6th. He did

an excellent job with the tummy but not with my left leg. I think his

assistant may have done the left thigh and I have ordered a operative report

today. I only know that my insurance is not paying for the assistant, so I

requested my records. Please read my message to Carla...it really wasn't that

painful to me. My only advice would be to wait until you are close to goal or

sure you will not be losing any more weight.

Good luck and I will definitely meet you at the picnic!!

Does anyone know what an arm " lift " by itself costs? Although I need lots of

work, that is the one procedure that I am pretty sure I will have. I am tired

of slapping myself with my batwings!!!! Also affects what sizes and styles I

can wear. I can disguise the tummy and thighs, but those arms can not be

disguised very easily.

No, I never expected to have something like Hep C, but I coulda figured all

those years of " risky behavior " might have some price tag! I only found out

through a pre-employment blood test. I was floored to say the least. Being

the book-perfect alcoholic I am, the first thing I did was go on a week long

binge. My family tracked me down, dumped my ass in Detox, and I've been

sober ever since. I am eternally grateful to Hep C for my finally making the

best decision of my life. It was kinda like Hmmmm keep drinking/die...

don't/live better and longer...., which one should I choose???

Yes, I did go through a year pf bliss with Inteferon/Ribavirin, only to have

the virus resurface 6 months later. I'm one of those " non-responders. "

Again, I never anticipated that would happen, but I eventually came to grips

with it knowing that I'm healthy now. ly, I don't really spend a lot of

time thinking of my " little problem " , I just plow ahead and enjoy life as

usual. I have been involved with 2 research projects (Idenix and Peregrine

meds)

that are hope for non-responders in the future. The last one (which I'm

still going in for post-meds blood draws) was the first time it had been tried

on

humans.

That said and done, I urge anyone to at least try the treatment. I'd do it

again if I thought it would help. A year of crap is well worth a potential

lifetime free of this virus. Yeah, it sucks going through it, but the worst

part for me was being so damned tired all the time, (OH, that and the thinned

out hair, my vanity ya know...) You also should prepare yourself for

depression, just let your doc know when you start going a tad psycho! You'll

hear

plenty of horror stories, but keep a positive attitude (I know you can..) I

worked full time through all of it.

Hang in girl and be strong. NOW, for my final piece of wisdom...Don't let

this Hep c bs define you as a person (or " hepper " as many say) and refuse the

general characterization. This is only one small part of the infinite you.

Hey !

I am so very sorry to hear about your sister, Margie's, plight. I will

continue to keep her in my thoughts and prayers, as well as you and your entire

family.

I am glad that the pass port things can be rushed for you...you are so

right....you don't want to have to move in the dead of winter with falling

snow....yikes!!!

I really appreciate your support and friendship. It is times like these

when you find out who your true friends are and who are the ones who tell great

tales.

I hope you are having a great day, and I am excited for you to see your

friend in Canada...just don't forget to write us....for we would miss you sooo

much!!

All my love and gentle hugs to you and all,

Kathy G.
