I have not had experience with uneeded root canals, they definitely were needed

in my case, still it's remarkable how godzilla's usage may have contributed to

the long-term stability, decades of these root canals of mine.

If you can avoid it great, but when a tooth comes apart structurally, and

sometimes they just do, exposing the nerve, you have little choice.
