Guest guest
Hi Rob, I think that this is great news. My brother in law is an attorney. And as I understand it they do not take a case (which costs money to do) unless they can retrieve costs and then some. For my car accident case my BIL, who is family law, didn't take my case , but another guy in his firm did. He told me that they do not take a case if they think they cannot retrieve money for it. They are in it to make money. So with this in mind I would think that it is a good thing that he is excited about it. My case was denied last month. But I have appealed it. My BIL did a Disability case early on in his career and he has told me I should be on it and is helping me to find a good lawyer to help me with mine. They do not do disability cases in their office and he is very busy. Which is a bummer. I hope and pray for everything to go very good for you dad. I also hope that the Docs can figure things out very quickly to better help your wife so that she does not have to suffer any longer. Your family is in my prayers. I am always having to tell myself that it can always be worse in order to keep myself positive. Sometimes that is so very hard to do. What doesn't break us makes us stronger. Please try to hang in there. Surely a solution is to come very soon. Take care, Katrina :-) > hello, > > i got a call from my lawyer last night at 10p. apparently he came across my > new file(they accepted me earlier and then stopped before i could sign > contracts) and, well he seemed very excited about it. are they all like > that? excited about our cases? or might this really be good news? i > havent had an interview yet with the disability people and dont have one > scheduled yet, but he told me to tell them, aside from my problems, that my > meds make me drowsy; which they do anyways-but i always leave that out i > guess because i have to watch my kids. i don't want people thinking i cant > take care of them. anyways i hope that was good news, it sounded like good > news last night. > > my wife had two seizures yesterday. it was a hard thing to watch, but the > hospitals are through with her, so all i can do is watch, and wait for her > appintments. my dad, as i might have mentioned, goes in for heart surgery > on the 22d so we could use some prayers in that direction also please! > > this will all pass and everything will get better. this will all pass and > everything will get better. > this will all pass and........ > > hope everyone has a great weekend and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the moms. > take care > rob > > _________________________________________________________________ > On the road to retirement? Guest guest
Most lawyers only take cases they know they can win. And yes it does excite them because they get 25% of what you are owed in back pay from SSDI. Wouldn't you get excited if all you had to do was push a few papers through a fax or stuff in an envelope to make a good amount of money lol Hugs and Prayers, Babs Chronic illness Chronic Pain You are not alone
Guest guest
thank you, i am starting to get a little excited, to feel a little hope. i am still very worried about my wife, as she continues to have seizures. i just watch and take care of her like the emts do; there is no point in returning to the hosptal. we have been told that she is seeing an excellant nerologist on monday, so we are hope ful for that. good luck with your laywer. i actually got one from the web, and didn't realize it till later, that he works out of georgia, and i am in virginia-apparently that doesn't matter. maybe that will help broaden your search a bit. take care i know you have your own trials to deal with, thank you for tsking the time to support me in mine. rob >From: " Katrina " <sweettoobeme@...> >Reply-neck pain >neck pain >Subject: Re: good news?! >Date: Fri, 12 May 2006 18:12:14 -0000 > >Hi Rob, >I think that this is great news. Guest guest
Hi Rob that sounds like good news!!! I doubt a lawyer gets excited unless they think they have a good case and can win. I hope you do win too, those hospitals have treated your wife horribly and I think you have a good case against them. I am so sorry to hear she just has to suffer till she see the neurologist ( can't spell that today that must be very hard for you to just watch and not be able to do much. I feel so badly for her, I pray they find some answers quickly and can help with her pain asap. Hang in there and I am sure things will look better soon. I'll keep you all in my prayers. Guest guest
well, im glad he's excited then. if it takes him awhile he might get a chunk of money. social security doesn't want to count it (my not working) until Jan 06. the lawyers disagree and want it from aug 05. but i have no interviews set up yet or anything with disability; i think that's the next step for me. rob >From: " Babs " <barbnal@...> >Reply-neck pain ><neck pain > >Subject: Re: good news?! >Date: Fri, 12 May 2006 18:04:26 -0400 > >Most lawyers only take cases they know they can win.
