Newbie - 14 yr old son with Systemic JA

I'm looking for other parents dealing with Systemic JA. My son is thankfully in

no pain (yet) but has been sick for over a year--high fevers, fatigue, upset

stomach. He's on Aleve and Prednisone which hasn't quite done the job. His sed

rate is still sky high and he misses about 50 days of school a year. We were

trying to get him on Kineret but the insurance company has balked--we're in

appeal now, on week 2 or pill methotrexate awaiting the insurance decision. Our

school has been very cooperative, but so many absences are hard to manage. So

glad to have found other parents to share with!
