The Arthritis Foundation Massachusetts Chapter is seeking walkers of all

ages, especially families with children who have juvenile arthritis, to

participate in the 2010 Southeastern Massachusetts Arthritis Walk on Sunday,

Oct. 24. The walk will be held at Bristol Community College. Its purpose is

to bring together those affected by all forms of arthritis, while raising

awareness and funds to support arthritis research and community health

programs.

Participants will have a choice of a one-mile or three-mile route beginning

and ending at Bristol Community College.

A post-walk party will feature food, music, dancing and many children's

activities, including arts and crafts, goody bags and a moon bounce.

Parents of children with arthritis will be able to network with other

parents dealing with the challenges of juvenile arthritis, obtain helpful

resources from Arthritis Foundation staff, sign up to be Arthritis

Foundation advocates and join the local juvenile arthritis network.

To participate or learn more about volunteer opportunities with the 2010

Southeastern Massachusetts Arthritis Walk, call Higgins at the

Arthritis Foundation at 617-219-8220, e-mail shiggins@... or

visitsemassarthritiswalk.org to register.
