[JRA]: prednisone + update on

Can anyone please tell me how long it should take to see some beneficial results from prednisone? I do not even know what a good therapeutic dose is. is on day five of 60mg/day and has seen zero benefit. Also, last night was very, very strange ... she came to me about midnight and said everything from her face through her ear, neck, shoulder, back, etc down through hips hurt excruciatingly (even arm pits)...decided on flexeril, and vicodin she had already taken, and see how it went from there (she hates going to dr and spent hrs at ER just last week) She does seem better this morning - would think it was a muscle spasm but to have her face and neck glands included seemed so odd..? Also, please keep her in your thoughts tomorrow as she sees rheumy and immuno and since mtx has not been working, decisions need to be made and I fear the rheumy will want to continue "wait and see" - it has been 3 full months with no response to mtx

and the pain is wearing down as it has been almost 2 years with no relief, plus her migraines...Thank you all so much for your wonderful support. (, 17, poly)
