Guest guest
While I am aware my daughter's rheumy has a respected reputation among the medical profession, and is verrrrrry thorough, communication with her can be drive me nuts!Sunday she phoned me and said she wanted to start on ultram - even asked for the pharmacy # to phone it in - said she was waiting on gastro to help make a final decision between methotrexate and another med. Today I phoned because there is nothing at the pharmacy....still waiting to hear from the gastro to start all of it, at the same time...??? TI am sooooo confused. My understanding of what she said initially was the ultram was being started to help fill the gap until the methotrexate is started and until is is fully working...and the celebrex will be continued...if they can discontinue the ultram later, then they will... It just seems like so very many meds - so much strain on the liver and kidneys...and I can't figure the reasoning for waiting on ultram until the other is started? I have read on individual medications (which can be overwhelming when you read the potential side effects, btw), but have notfound anything that discusses combinations of meds. If anyone can share knowledge or direct me to literature that addresses more of the whole picture, vs each individual med, I would really appreciate it. I am finding myself with a lot of anxiety these past few weeks...the dr saying one thing, then changing it, and everything being in a temporary holding pattern are adding to it I am sure...I find the more I know and understand, the less I worry (not that I don't still worry some...lol....it's the mom in me)Thanks, nancy (amanda, 17, poly) Pinpoint customers who are looking for what you sell.
