Well I am glad I’m not the only one.

We had a really good day yesterday – we played in the snow and had a lot

of fun. Last night little one got up at 4am and didn’t want to go back to

sleep so I’m a bit tired today. But we’re going to do lessons when I

am done my email and get some cleaning done. And hopefully get a nap this

afternoon (We call it quiet time, the girls usually sleep and my son plays

quietly)

my kids (6 and 4) do the same

hehe, I remember when mine were this age. My daughter almost had her head shaved because of them getting up before me. My son decided to cut her hair for me so I didn't have to take her in to the beauty shop to get a trim. Her shoulder length hair ended up in a pixie, which we still had to go to the beauty shop to have cut into something presentable. The beautician tried to cover up the bald spots, but some of it just had to grow out. The funny part was when we got home from the beautician, I realized what they had done with her hair--hung it on the Christmas tree like icicles! Yeah, I'm really glad they are over that stage. Of course, now I'm dealing with a pre-teen who thinks shes grown, and a teenage boy who has discovered girls! Nevermind, I wish they were still decorating my Christmas Tree with hair and were 4 and 6 again! LOL

Donna,

Honey, He may not slow down now lololol. At 14 and he is 6ft 3 now. Better

start letting out the legs of his pant's lololol. Joe my son started growing

real good at 12 and 13. I didn't think he would get enough to eat. He ate

and ate all the time. Each day after School he would come in and fix 5

sandwiches Yes 5. Then was ready for supper. He shot up like a weed. He is 6ft

tall.

I think he finally stopped growing about 18. My hubby is 6ft 4in. I think we

married and he was 6ft tall He grew 4 inches after we married.

Just told how tall Matt is. She said well when I seen him he was

this tall. lololol. She reached up as far as she could reach lololol. Tell

Matt to lift you now when you need it.

Kinda helps in tight places lololol. Mom will always be Mom no matter how

old those kids get. They also listen when Mom talks. They know if Mom can't

reach them she can throw things at them. Want to play with the kids Dodge the

Moms?

Wow Donna, he sure is tall. I thought my was tall at 6 feet.

He just turned 14 a couple weeks ago. Yes its strange to stand on

my tip toes to fix his hair! lol

has had problems with osgood schlaters which is due to the bone

growing faster than the muscle. The muscle is literally being

pulled away from the bone. It causes a lump right under the knee

cap. It doesn't bother him too much except when he is having an

active basketball season. He has had other aches and pains I suppose

with sudden growing spurts that is to be expected....He also

complains of back pain. He is doing better now that we have our

chiropractic office open and he has been adjusted.

Funny how they change from little boys to men, yet they still act

like little boys! lol :-)

Cute story Donna. You keep him in line though!

Bayly of course WANTS to grow taller than daddy (6 foot 2) so that he

can get things down off the top of the cupboards for me.

Jo

Hi Donna,

My son has a bit of scoliosis as well. I have moderate/severe

scoliosis. My spine looked more like an " s " . I began suffering a

great deal with back pain in my early teen years. The orthoped.

wanted to put me in a back brace for a year or insert Rods in my

spine. Instead we went to chiropractors. That offered temporairy

relief but the pain would return shortly after an adjustment.

While my husband was in chiropractic school he asked me to try this

new chiropractic technique known as NUCCA. I figured it couldn't

hurt so I gave it a chance. For the first time in 20 years I no

longer had daily back pain. To this day I am still amazed by it. I

usually get an adjustment every 2-3 months.

Anyway, if its something that you would want to check out for Matt

you can visit this website for more information

http://www.nucca.org

Sure hope he finds relief soon...Your words that you used in how

Matt describes his pain as " always there " just rang true to my own

experience. Had to share my story in case it might be of benefit!

God Bless,
