Hi everyone,

I apologize in advance for the length of this.

My son was diagnosed as having seizures in January. A little

background, my son had a brain tumor removed in 2001, after the

operation he would complain of wierd stomach aches and feeling like

he was going to throw up (never saw anything happen). In october he

was at lunch with the football team reviewing a game and was in the

middle of eating and he fell over and passed out for a few seconds

got back up and continued to eat as if nothing happened. His coach

called and let me know what happend, I took him to the ER and they

said everything was fine. In January my husband took him to the

movies, in the middle of the movie he got up out of his seat,

stumbled around into a wall sat back down (his eyes rolled back in

his head, he was drooling, and had slurred speech). My other son said

at times he gets up in the middle of the night and does the same

thing. (didn't take him to the doctor because my husband thought he

was overly tired and sleep walking uh huh). A few weeks later we were

at a wrestling match and he was sitting next to me standing up and

cheering. I hear a thud look over and he was pitched forward down the

bleacher. I pulled him up, his eyes were glazed, he was drooling and

trying to speak but his voice was slurred. (He doesn't remember any

of these episodes). Just a few days ago I had a fire burning in my

wood stove, about an hour after we had it going he comes up and says

mom look at my hand and arm (he had third degree burns on his arm and

hand) He says he remembers tripping and pushing off of the stove with

his one hand (the one not quite so badly burned) but doesn't know how

he burned (3 inches long 2 across down to the white of his meat) his

arm. I was in the room and didn't see it happend it was that fast.

Does this sound familiar to anyone as seizures. And if they are i'm

very concerned he's having them all the time or at least a lot more

than we've seen. We have no insurance right now, and his doctor in

January wanted to put him on anti-seizure meds and get an MRI and see

a nuerologist, I am waiting for insurance to do this. Any advice or

help any one has would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if these

ARE seizures and if anyone has or knows of anyone with a condition

like this I would love to hear from you.

Thank you so much,
