Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > > I am moving towards everything in your diet as far as supplements go. I am about 75% compliant with that. I am pretty much spot on with the diet. It's been about two weeks, maybe. I am doing so much better without grains and starchy vegetables. I added butter on Sunday and had some Monday too. I probably over did it, but I was starving. (I do have to say that the intense cravings are now diminishing. Oh so happy about that.) +++Good for you Kim for getting on the program~ > > By Tuesday I had bad constipation and it's finally feeling better today, although I don't feel a complete evacuation. I had had issues with constipation for a long time, but over the last 6 months I haven't had issues until this week. In fact, right before that, I couldn't believe how wonderful everything was coming out. Do you think that was a reaction to the butter? Maybe I should try Ghee instead, or hold off and go slow with the butter? Am I retracing my constipation issues? +++Constipation isn't caused by fats like butter, in fact they help alleviate it. Constipation happens if you don't consume enough fats in ratio to protein, so that's why it is important to slowly change over to this diet by gradually lowering carbs as you are increasing fats. Some people have to lower protein until they can consume high enough fats to avoid constipation. That is explained in Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php > I tried the vitamin C and probably got up to 10g on a few days and had slight diahhrea, but it was such a small amount and I still felt backed up. +++Take 4,000 mg of vitamin C one time and then 1,000 mg every hour while you are awake for at least 3 days in a row, and if that doesn't help take 2,000 mg every hour. The doses have to be consistent and taken every day. Afterward lower your vitamin C gradually. All the best, Bee
